PageMind does **NOT** collect, store, or transmit any user data to our servers.

## What Data Is Stored

The following data is stored **locally in your browser** using Chrome's storage API:

- **OpenAI API Key** — Stored locally to authenticate AI requests. We never see or access your API key.
- **User Preferences** — AI model selection, language settings, and daily usage count.
- **Extension Settings** — Your custom configuration options.

## How Data Is Used

- Webpage content is sent **directly from your browser** to OpenAI's API (or your configured API endpoint).
- We do not intercept, process, or store any webpage content.
- We do not track your browsing history or behavior.

## Third-Party Services

PageMind uses the following third-party services:

- **OpenAI API** — For AI summarization and Q&A functionality. Data is sent directly from your browser to OpenAI.

## Data Security

- All sensitive data (API keys) is stored using Chrome's built-in storage API.
- We do not operate any backend servers for data collection.
